"We're not alone, Sam!"

Nor are we!
The fantasy world created by J.R.R. Tolkien and Peter Jackson has inspired many lotr-fans to build miniatures and dioramas based on the movie images of Middle-earth. Quite a few modellers are showing their work online. We'd like to bring the next fellow scenerybuilders to your notice:

A great building site to visit is the One-Ring site:

One-Ring

… with an Article Library on Terrain Modelling.

Here you will find some outstanding pieces of scenery, along with various descriptions of smart construction techniques. To name but a few: And many, many others!

Dave Taylor's model of "The Guardian of the Doors of Durin - The Watcher in the Water" can be admired  here.

Finally, it is rumoured that some new pieces of scenery are in the pipeline:

In Belgium, C. intends to build a model of "The Prancing Pony";
In the US, D. is working on a model of the city of Minas Morgul;
In Spain, J. is building a model of the Tower of Cirith Ungol.

We'd love to see their models before long!
